Truffle Hunting
Truffle hunting in Northern Italy is a unique and exciting experience, especially in the Piedmont region, famous for its prized white truffles. La Villa works exclusively with a local truffle hunter and his dog just a few minutes away from the hotel. This event is extremely popular so make sure to book in advance! Also, Truffle hunting season is only August to October, aren’t we lucky!

Visit Tommy & Torey’s favourite Italian Village
Neive is one of the most intimate, unique and beautiful places we have ever been. With amazing cafe’s and restaurants, this is the perfect place for an afternoon trip. Neive is roughly 35 minutes away from La Villa/Mombaruzzo. We suggest taking your time driving there, enjoying the scenery around you. Once you have visited Neive, keep driving roughly 10 minutes into Barbaresco and see where the famous wine comes from! You can also climb the Barbaresco tower for amazing views!

Visit the La Villa Spa
Located in the hotel's old wine cellars, the spa offers a sauna, massage pool, and relaxation areas. Please note that the spa is only available for 6 people at a time, so book alongside others or alone! The spa is open from 10 to 7:30 in 90-minute time slots by appointment only. Just 40 minutes away from La Villa is Castello d'Orsara Bormida. The castle was first documented in 1196 and are open to the public for tours or breakfast.
